Your Questions, Answered Confidentially
We understand that sexual health can be a sensitive subject. Whether you are curious about how our specialised AI works or how we protect your data, you will find the answers here. Our goal is to provide the clarity you need to take the next step in your health journey with total peace of mind.
What exactly is DICDOC?
DICDOC stands for Do It Confidentially Discreet Online Checker. It is a purpose-built AI engine designed specifically to screen for skin and sexual health concerns like warts, rashes, or unusual discolouration.
What symptoms can I check?
The checker is optimised for visual symptoms including physical discolouration, lumps, bumps, warts, or sores.
What is the difference between an STD and an STI?
A STD (sexually transmitted disease) is a sexually transmitted condition that often comes with physical, visible symptoms on the body — especially on the skin (such as ulcers, blisters, warts, or rashes). By contrast, many STIs (sexually transmitted infections) can be internal and symptom-free, meaning they can only be confirmed or ruled out with a lab test.
What STDs can DICDOC.ai guide you on?
The technology behind DICDOC.ai is an AI model called Autoderm, which can screen for 68 skin diseases, including these genital skin concerns:
 STDs (visible genital skin concerns)
Genital warts (Human Papillomavirus)
Genital herpes (Herpes simplex 1 and 2)
Syphilis
Molluscum contagiosum
Scabies
Benign genital skin concerns
Balanitis
Eczema
Scrotal eczema
Folliculitis
Lichen ruber planus
Sebaceous glands (Fordyce spots)
Seborrhoeic keratosis (senile warts)
Naevus (mole)
Tinea (fungal infection)
Psoriasis
Pearly penile papules
What DICDOC.ai can’t guide you on
Autoderm cannot screen for Monkeypox or internal infections such as HIV, Hepatitis, Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Mycoplasma (and similar), because these are STIs that require a lab test to confirm or rule out.
Do I need to create an account or provide an ID?
No. To ensure 100% anonymity, we never ask for your name, ID, or social media login. Your session is identified by a unique, temporary token that is destroyed once you exit.
Who sees the photo I upload?
No one. Our AI processes the image instantly through a secure, encrypted loop. Because we have a zero-retention policy, the image is deleted immediately after analysis.
Can I show my DICDOC report to a doctor?
Yes. We encourage you to save your screenshot to share with a healthcare professional. It serves as an excellent starting point for an informed conversation with your GP or clinician.
Do you collect any personal data?
DicDoc.ai is designed so that no personal data is processed by default. We do not collect names, email addresses, accounts, or contact details. We do not intentionally collect any identifiable information, however, limited technical information such as IP addresses may be processed for security and hosting purposes and we are UK GDPR compliant.
Do you store images or results?
No. Images are processed in real time and are not stored by DicDoc or Autoderm. Diagnostic results are displayed once and not retained. Users should take a screenshot if they wish to keep a copy.
Do you process health data?
DicDoc does not process identifiable special category health data. Images are analysed anonymously without identifiers and are not retained.
Who processes the image analysis?
Image analysis is performed by Autoderm using their proprietary engine which does not store or reuse images. DicDoc acts as the website interface only and does not store or reuse images.
How are payments handled?
Payments are processed securely via Stripe. DicDoc does not receive or store card details. Stripe acts as an independent data controller for payment information.
Do you use cookies or tracking?
We do not use cookies to identify users. No marketing or advertising cookies are used on the symptom checker journey. Any analytics used are anonymised and privacy-focused. For further information please read our Cookie policy which can be found here XXX
Is DicDoc providing a medical diagnosis?
No. DicDoc provides informational outcomes only and does not provide a medical diagnosis. Outcomes are intended to support users in deciding whether to seek appropriate clinical care.
What should I do if I am worried about my symptoms?
Users are advised to seek care from a qualified healthcare professional for diagnosis, treatment, or if symptoms persist or worsen. Many sexually transmitted infections can be asymptomatic and may not have visible physical signs. If you are concerned, you may also wish to consider undertaking a comprehensive STI home testing kit or attending a sexual health clinic for further assessment.
Who controls my data?
DicDoc operates the website and information pages. Autoderm processes anonymous image analysis. Stripe independently processes payment data. Each operates under their own privacy and security obligations. DicDoc is registered with the ICO.
Is DicDoc available outside the UK?
DicDoc is designed primarily for UK users. While the service may be accessible from outside the UK, information and support links are UK-focused and may not reflect services available in other countries.
